A background selling or leasing real estate would make a transition to the role of Inside Account Manager at Insight an easy one. Managing Clients, understanding their needs and budget, creating a proposition based on what they’re looking for, upselling and working to targets are all skills needed and used in our internal sales roles.

We are looking for ambitious and determined sales people with no need for prior IT Sales experience, rather we are looking someone who has the ability to identify and bring on new accounts, develop the relationships within them and grow their spend. We will offer you the training required to help with your IT knowledge and understanding along with extensive sales and soft skills training.
One of the most exciting prospects this role brings is the opportunity to grow and Manager your own accounts and partner with a Client facing field sales person, to learn and leverage the earning potential of your Account base.

Longer term there are a number of career progression opportunities. Whether you want to progress through the Internal Account Manager levels, move to a Field Sales role or specialise in a service led area such as Cloud, all of these development routes are available to you once you have mastered an Account Management position

Main duties will include:
• Research, cold call & build relationships with new clients
• Ensure all opportunities are qualified and input into the system with detailed notes allowing the pipeline to be effectively managed
• Communicating new product developments & services to prospective clients
• Working closely with the Executive Account Manager to maximize opportunities with every client
• Engage with and maintain key relationships within the assigned accounts
• Communicate weekly, accurate, realistic, up to date, forecast
• Build business pipeline to achieve monthly targets
• Proactive follow up of opportunities to close deals
• Engage with Insights specialist sales teams where appropriate to sell value services & to meet customer needs
• Plan approaches & pitches, working with others to develop a proposal that speaks to the clients needs, concerns & objectives
• Use a variety of styles to persuade & negotiate appropriately
